Reflexology

Reflexology is the method of activating the natural healing responses of the body using a series of pressure points and finger walks. There are reflexes throughout the body that relate to different parts of the body through zones and meridians.

It is a simple, safe, and effective treatment that does not interfere with body functions or other treatments. It has many benefits, such as helping to improve circulation, getting the body back to its normal state of balance, and getting any blockages moving and flowing.

What can I expect?
A session with a new client begins by going over a health assessment form. Once completed, you are made comfortable while fully clothed with cozy blankets, flickering candles, and soft music. No scents are used unless needed or requested. 

Beginning with a quick cleanse with warm towels and a short relaxation technique, you are soon on a path to de-stressing you body. Many clients have fallen asleep during a session, following a complete relaxation breakthrough!

Benefits include improved circulation, helps with stress and anxiety, helps to move blockages, helps with lymphatic drainage, and helps promote body to get back to its natural state of homeostasis

Hand Reflexology

Also available for those with foot or leg issues. Same great benefits and very relaxing, ending with a hand and arm massage.

Reiki

Reiki, ( pronounced Ray-Kee) means Life Force Energy. It is the Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation. It is the ‘laying on of hands’ technique passed on from its founder Dr. Mikao Usui.

A complimentary therapy, the flow of our natural energy helps to remove ‘blockages’ in our energy fields almost like accupressure does. It can help to centre, clear, and get rid of negative energies. Reiki can help reduce pain and speed healing, create a deeper state of inner peace, and promotes relaxation.

What can I expect?
During the session, you are fully clothed and made comfortable with a cozy blanket and pillows. You are helped to relax by deep breathing to help empty the mind of outside distractions. Working all the way down the body, my hands are positioned approximately 2 inches from your body, stopping at different chakras to help move your energy along.

Some people experience a sense of touch, some see colours, or hear things. There are also times when emotions are released, all of which are normal.
